Vin Jannetty – President and CEO
Prior to co-founding Flexuspine in 2004, Vin enjoyed a diverse and proven executive and operational management career for over 28 years, and since 1986 has focused exclusively on managing start-up companies. Vin has been involved in all aspects of company development, from building a company around raw technology to managing acquisitions by fortune 500 companies. Vin has focused his skills solely on the spinal segment of the medical device marketplace since early 1996. He has a proven success record for creating solid company foundations raising over $40M in venture capital and creating over $200M in market value. Vin was raised in Connecticut and completed his education at Boston University earning a degree in engineering in 1984. Vin attributes his work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit to his family heritage of hard work; watching and helping his father build a company from the ground up. He has been married for 20 years and has two children.
Erik Wagner – Chief Technical Officer
Prior to co-founding Flexuspine in 2004, Erik began his life-long passion of all things mechanical in 1977 in the automation and special equipment design industry. Erik soon found himself attracted to the new and innovative medical device industry in 1984. By 1992 Erik focused his engineering talents specializing in the growing spinal device market. The growth and innovation potential in spine led Erik to team with Jannetty to form Spinal Concepts in 1996. Since that time Erik has credits of over 50 patents pending or allowed. From his early design career up through executive management positions, Erik has always excelled at rolling up his sleeves, working hard and keeping focused on the goal at hand. Erik has been married for 25 years and has three children.
Mike Dapper - Vice President of Sales
Prior to joining Flexuspine in 2009, Mike launched a successful sales career as a representative for Johnson and Johnson in 1984. This led to subsequent sales, distributorship, and executive positions in the spinal device and neurosurgery fields with Ohio Medical Instruments and Interpore. The dynamic growth taking place in spine in the late 1990s and the thrill of a start-up venture led Mike to join newly formed Spinal Concepts in 1998. There he built a high-growth sales force and sales management team focused on education, professionalism, service and integrity. Mike excelled at bringing innovative technologies to the spinal marketplace through focused representation. Mike is proud to be married for 30 years and has two children.
